Virus (Russian band)

ViRUS (Вируc) is a Russian band composed of Yuri, Andrey and Olga. It was popular in 2001. The project produced techno-based, Russian pop music, similar to Ruki Vverh! at the time. After several more less popular tunes they disappeared in the never-ending sea of techno-based Russian pop music.
== History ==

Yuri and Andrey both attended the High School of Zelenograd (near Moscow) in 1998. Initially making a duo they eventually started searching for a female vocalist leading them to recruit fellow high school student Olga, who was then singing the House of Culture. The group originally became known as "Akvarel" (Watercolor) followed by "Vot Tak" (That's How). Their first place of work was in Yuri's apartment. They worked a lot and finally in 1998 their record was found by producers Igor Seliverstov and Leonid Velichkovskiy. The Group renamed themselves to "Virus" and their first album, "Do not try to find me" was soon released, bringing Virus success and popularity.
Virus have seen successful hits such as "Schastye (Счастье)/Happiness/", "Poproshu tebya (Попрошу Тебя)/Ask you/", "Papa (Папа)/Father/", and "Vse proydet (Всё пройдёт)/Everything will pass/",''Ya lyublyu tebya, malysh (Я люблю тебя, малыш)/I love you baby/''.
As time passed Virus toured in Germany, Russia, Israel, USA, Estonia, and other countries. Their new song "alsou" was popular and was played on multiple radio stations including ''DFM'',''Radio Dacha'',''Pioner FM'', ''Russkoe Radio'', ''Radio Metro'', ''Radio Record''. In 2005 Virus was involved in a band name scandal involving LUCKY, DJ Doctor and DJ Chip culminating in the re-branding of the band as ''ViRUS!''.
''ViRUS!' new songs adapted for Progressive Trance,a genre of trance and electro house styles.
